PIEC Porcine Hip Artery Endothelial Cell Line
Introduction
OriCell™ PIEC Porcine Hip Artery Endothelial Cell Line is derived from porcine hip artery endothelial tissue. The tissue was enzymatically dissociated into single cells using a combination of trypsin and collagenase digestion, followed by differential adhesion to enrich endothelial cells, resulting in the establishment of the PIEC cell line. The cells exhibit an epithelial-like morphology and grow adherently in culture.
Due to the high similarity of vascular structures and physiological functions between pigs and humans, PIEC cells are widely used as an in vitro model for vascular biology, gene function analysis, and immune regulation research.
