Non-Essential Amino Acid Cell Culture Supplement (100X)
Introduction
OriCell™ Non-Essential Amino Acid Cell Culture Supplement (100X) contains seven non-essential amino acids commonly required for cell culture and is designed to optimize the formulation of culture media.
Most cells can synthesize non-essential amino acids (NEAAs) through metabolic pathways such as glutaminolysis, glycolysis, and the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle. However, when these amino acids are present at low concentrations, cells need to consume more glucose and glutamine in the culture medium to support their synthesis, leading to increased metabolic burden and the accumulation of metabolic byproducts that may negatively affect cell growth. Supplementing culture media with NEAAs reduces the need for de novo amino acid synthesis, helping to conserve cellular energy, minimize metabolic stress, and support optimal cell growth.
