Introduction

L-Glutamine is an essential amino acid for cell growth, playing a key role in protein synthesis and nucleic acid metabolism. It supports the growth of cells with high energy demands and those producing large amounts of proteins and nucleic acids. Additionally, L-glutamine can serve as an alternative energy source for rapidly dividing cells and for cells that cannot efficiently utilize glucose.

L-Glutamine is very stable in dry powder form and in frozen solutions but is unstable in aqueous solutions. Its degradation rate depends on factors such as storage time, temperature, and the pH of the environment. To ensure optimal cell performance, L-glutamine supplements are typically added to the culture medium just before use.
