AR42J Rat Pancreatic Exocrine Cell Line
Introduction
The AR42J rat pancreatic exocrine cell line is composed of epithelial-like cells isolated and purified from Wistar rat pancreatic tumor tissues by Daniel S. Longnecker et al. Upon stimulation with glucocorticoids, these cells can be induced to exhibit exocrine activity, accompanied by extensive endoplasmic reticulum (ER) remodeling. This cell line expresses insulin and glucocorticoid receptors.
Serving as a suitable host for transfection studies, OriCell™ AR42J Rat Pancreatic Exocrine Cell Line is widely utilized in various research applications, including studies on alleviating inflammatory responses in AR42J cells by inhibiting ER stress pathways, as well as investigations into the effects of microRNAs on apoptosis of rat pancreatic acinar cells.
