AML12 Mouse Normal Hepatocyte Cell Line
Introduction
The AML12 mouse normal hepatocyte cell line was established in 1994 by R. Paulson’s laboratory from liver tissue of SV40 large T antigen transgenic mice with a C57BL/6 × C3H hybrid genetic background. This immortalized hepatocyte cell line retains many characteristics of normal hepatocytes, including albumin secretion, glycogen storage, and the expression of liver-specific genes, such as transferrin and α-1-antitrypsin.
OriCell™ AML12 Mouse Normal Hepatocyte Cell Line is widely used in studies of liver diseases, including non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), liver fibrosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma.

General Handling Principles
- Maintain strict aseptic technique. Ensure complete sterility throughout all procedures, particularly within the laminar flow hood and incubator.
- Follow standardized protocols. Adhere strictly to the product manual. Implement rigorous control over experimental variables and include appropriate parallel controls.
- Use high-quality consumables and reagents. This product requires culture vessels suitable for adherent growth, and the reuse of these vessels is not recommended. The reagents used must be validated for reliability, cell compatibility, and batch-to-batch consistency.
