EL4 Mouse Lymphoma Cell Line

Introduction

The EL4 mouse lymphoma cell line was isolated from a lymphoma induced in C57BL mice by 9,10-dimethyl-1,2-benzanthracene (DMBA). The cells are resistant to 0.1 mM hydrocortisone and sensitive to 20 μg/mL phytohemagglutinin (PHA). Its subline, EL4.IL-2, is capable of producing high levels of IL-2.
