YUMM1.7 Mouse Melanoma Cell Line with GFP
Introduction
The murine melanoma cell line YUMM1.7 was established in 2014 from the skin of an adult male mouse bearing melanoma. It exhibits an epithelial-like morphology. This genetically engineered cell line harbors mutations relevant to human melanoma, including BrafV600E/wt (a conditionally activated knock-in Braf allele), Cdkn2a-/- and Pten-/- (conditional inactivation), as well as tyrosinase expression and a CreERT2 transgene. This transgene enables melanocyte-specific gene recombination through a hormone-inducible recombinase system.
OriCell™ YUMM1.7 Mouse Melanoma Cell Line with GFP is generated by infecting YUMM1.7 cells with a recombinant lentiviral vector carrying the GFP gene, resulting in stable expression of green fluorescent protein. This cell line is widely used in studies of melanoma pathogenesis, tumor immunotherapy, metastasis mechanisms, drug screening, and tumor microenvironment regulation. It is particularly suitable for evaluating responses to immunotherapy and for establishing preclinical mouse models, such as syngeneic transplantation models in C57BL/6 mice, making it an important tool for translational melanoma research. In addition, the stable GFP expression enables convenient cell tracking and visualization both in vitro and in vivo.

General Handling Principles
- Maintain strict aseptic technique. Ensure complete sterility throughout all procedures, particularly within the laminar flow hood and incubator.
- Follow standardized protocols. Adhere strictly to the product manual. Implement rigorous control over experimental variables and include appropriate parallel controls.
- Use high-quality consumables and reagents. This product requires culture vessels suitable for adherent growth, and the reuse of these vessels is not recommended. The reagents used must be validated for reliability, cell compatibility, and batch-to-batch consistency.
Warm Notice: The cryopreservation medium of this product contains DMSO, which may pose potential risks. Please handle it with care.
