RF/6A Monkey Retinal Endothelial Cell Line
Introduction
The RF/6A cell line is derived from the retinal tissue of rhesus monkeys (rhesus macaques or macaca mulatta) and exhibits strong growth stability, allowing for long-term passage in vitro. As an in vitro model for studying retinal neovascularization (RNV) and related diseases, RF/6A cells are commonly used to investigate high glucose-induced cellular proliferation, migration, and tube formation, as well as the underlying molecular mechanisms. In the field of drug screening, this cell line is used to evaluate the protective effects of Metformin or other anti-angiogenic agents against retinal vascular damage and to explore their corresponding molecular pathways.
OriCell™ RF/6A Monkey Retinal Endothelial Cell Line has undergone rigorous quality control to ensure it is free from bacterial, fungal, and mycoplasma contamination.

General Handling Principles
- Maintain strict aseptic technique. Ensure complete sterility throughout all procedures, particularly within the laminar flow hood and incubator.
- Follow standardized protocols. Adhere strictly to the product manual. Implement rigorous control over experimental variables and include appropriate parallel controls.
- Use high-quality consumables and reagents. This product requires culture vessels suitable for adherent cell growth, and the reuse of these vessels is not recommended. The reagents used must be validated for reliability, cell compatibility, and batch-to-batch consistency.
Warm Notice: The cryopreservation medium of this product contains DMSO, which may pose potential risks. Please handle it with care.
