Introduction

The Pt K1 Kangaroo Kidney Cell Line was established by K. H. Walen from the kidney of an apparently normal Potorous tridactylis (the potoroo). It is a spontaneously immortalized cell line. Immunoperoxidase staining has demonstrated that Pt K1 (NBL-3) cells are cytokeratin-positive.
